Many people associate the taste of mint with cold remedies, refreshing herbal teas and various types of cocktails. Within Germany, mint is cultivated mainly in the regions of Thuringia and Bavaria. In German, mint is called Minze. If you like the minty taste of subtle menthol and that wonderfully fresh note of camphor, you can look forward to the aroma of Calmiva’s mint-flavoured full-spectrum CBD oil.
Mint is one of THE classic ingredients used in naturopathy. It was used early on to treat liver and gallbladder disorders, for example. And even today, mint is said to have antispasmodic properties.
Depending on your individual requirements, you can choose:
- Mint-flavoured CBD oil, 5%
- Mint-flavoured CBD oil, 10%
- Mint-flavoured CBD oil, 20%
- Mint-flavoured CBD oil, 30%
What is a full-spectrum CBD oil?
In German we say Vollspektrum CBD Öl, but in English you say full-spectrum CBD oil. In short, a full-spectrum CBD oil contains everything that the cannabis plant has to offer. In addition to terpenes and flavonoids, there is also CBD, CBN (cannabinol), CBG (cannabigerol) and a minimal amount of THC. The last of these is always measured in such a way that it does not exceed the legally permitted limit of 0.2%.
There are also pure CBD products. These are mostly CBD crystals. The one and only substance that these contain is CBD. If you opt for a full-spectrum CBD oil rather than the crystals, you are consciously choosing the entourage effect.
Benefits of the entourage effect
A full-spectrum CBD oil contains almost all cannabinoids. When these interact in your mouth, it can unlock the entourage effect. Simply put, this means that the totality of the cannabinoids is greater than the sum of its parts.
Researchers are currently investigating whether and how substances like CBD affect the endo-cannabinoid system (part of the nervous system). One thing they are focusing on is the entourage effect. The basic research question here is whether terpenes, flavonoids and cannabinoids can have a stronger influence when they interact than they do in isolation.
Benefits of the spray bottle
You can buy Calmiva CBD products online in a handy spray bottle. How you take it depends on your own personal needs. People generally spray the full-spectrum CBD oil into their mouth and/or directly under their tongue up to twice a day. Just one spritz is plenty. Gently move the CBD around your mouth (including the lining and tastebuds) for up to 30 seconds. The important thing is that you shouldn’t swallow the CBD oil.
Using a spray bottle makes taking CBD much more hygienic. There’s no need to use a spoon or have it drip down your chin when you ingest it. The transparent cap encloses the nozzle securely and protects the opening from dirt.
What does “hemp oil-based” mean?
Generally speaking, hemp oil is extracted from the seeds of the cannabis plant. The volume of seeds needed for a hemp oil-based product is enormous. About 10 kilos of hemp seeds are needed to make 3 litres of oil.
You can use the colour as a guide. The darker the shade, the nuttier and generally more intense the taste.
Important information about CBD oils
We ask that you note the following information regarding the use of CBD oils. Please don’t use them if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Please keep your CBD product out of the reach of children. Experts recommend shaking the CBD in the spray bottle thoroughly before use.
Keep your CBD oil away from sunlight and water. Instead, store it in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. If you are not sure whether you have allergies or other health problems, consult your doctor before using the spray. And don’t swallow CBD oils.
